The NRA may have met its match on the gun control issue. The Oct. 2 edition of the Jewish "Forward" newspaper had this to say: "Jewish groups responded to the mass shooting in Las Vegas by condemning the violence and calling for gun control legislation. The Anti-Defamation League, the National Council of Jewish women and the Reform movement were among the groups that called for tougher gun control laws in the attack's aftermath." The NRA, to be sure, is a strong lobby. But when American Jews unite behind a cause they're a strong lobby, too. Probably not strong enough to totally outlaw private gun ownership, but strong enough to get serious restrictions put on the types of weaponry we can buy and on the types of people who can (or can't) buy them. Michael Moore will be a valuable Gentile ally in this battle. It promises to be interesting.
