OGDEN, Utah - The Casper Rockies sure know how to start a game.
Now if they could just finish one.
For the second night in a row, the Ogden Raptors came from behind in the late innings to drop the struggling Rockies, 9-8, on Tuesday .
On Monday, Ogden scored three runs in the ninth inning - without getting a base hit - to defeat Casper, 6-5.
On Tuesday, Casper opened the game with a three-run first inning. First-round draft pick Ian Stewart hit a monster two-run homer to highlight the early outburst.
But Ogden responded with four runs in the bottom half of the inning to take the lead. Casper starter Darric Merrell never found his groove, allowing 10 hits and five earned runs in four innings.
Casper took the lead back, 5-4, in the fourth, when Daniel Underwood scored on Nelson Robledo's RBI single. After Ogden scored two runs in the fifth, Casper regained the lead, 6-5, on an Ogden throwing error.
The Rockies, however, did not score in the seventh, eighth or ninth innings.
Ogden plated four baserunners over the final three innings, including the game-winning RBI by Russell Martin.
Stewart finished 2-for-4 at the plate, while Jeff Watchko was saddled with the loss.
