CASPER'S KINNER LEADS UW SKIERS: With Casper's Jennifer Kinner leading the way, the University of Wyoming women's Nordic ski team is on the verge of winning the national championship.

With one day left at the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association's championship event in Tahoe, Calif., the top-ranked Cowgirls were comfortably in first place. Kinner, meanwhile, had won national titles in the 1.5-kilometer sprint race and the 10-kilometer race.

The UW men entered the final day of competition in second place.
