COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Luke Jackson and three other pitchers combined for a shutout as the Gwinnett Stripers beat the Columbus Clippers 6-0 on Thursday.
Jackson (2-1) picked up the win after he struck out six and walked one while allowing one hit over three scoreless innings. Stephen Fife (2-4) went 6 2/3 innings, allowing five runs and eight hits in the International League game. He also struck out seven and walked one.
Gwinnett scored two runs in the first, including a single by Danny Santana that scored Peter Bourjos. The Stripers scored again in the seventh inning, when Austin Riley hit a sacrifice fly and Carlos Franco hit a three-run home run.
Bourjos doubled and singled three times, scoring two runs in the win.
The Clippers were held off the scoreboard for the sixth time this season, while the Stripers' staff recorded their fourth shutout of the year.
