Central Wyoming College found the much needed boost it was looking for last weekend, and thanks to the 1,005 points the Rustlers tallied at the Colorado State rodeo in Fort Collins, CWC has a big lead in the men's Central Rocky Mountain Region standings.

CWC swept the roughstock events in Fort Collins, as Seth Glause won the saddle bronc riding, Joe Mundorf bareback riding and Ty Hamaker bull riding. In saddle bronc, CWC cowboys took the top five spots and tied for sixth, as well.

The Rustlers have 3,090 team points through the first five rodeos of the year, and have big leads on both Eastern Wyoming (2,325 points) and Wyoming (2,135). The top two men's and women's teams qualify for the College National Finals Rodeo, as do the top three individuals in each event.

The Wyoming women continued to pad their region lead as well, scoring 240 points to win the rodeo. UW has 1,890 points this season; Central Wyoming is second at 930.

Teams are off this week. The next CRMR rodeo is Ropin' and Riggin' Days, April 13-15 in Casper.
