The Casper College men's basketball team proved to be no match for No. 9 Gillette College on Wednesday, falling 85-65 at Gillette.

The Thunderbirds (16-7, 4-3 Region IX North) fell behind 17-4 before trimming the margin to 28-25 at the half. The T-Birds trailed 32-30 early in the second half before a flurry of 3-pointers by the Pronghorns (22-1, 6-1) pushed the lead back to double digits.

Antun Maricevic and Isaiah Banks scored 19 points apiece for the T-Birds, who have lost two in a row and three of four.

Casper College hosts Little Big Horn College on Saturday.
