The Casper College men's basketball team was on the short end of a 66-62 decision at No. 17 Sheridan College on Saturday.

The Thunderbirds (16-6, 4-2 Region IX North) got 17 points and 10 rebounds from Antun Maricevic and 16 points from Chase Winchester, but no other player scored in double figures.

AJ Bramah had 16 points to lead the Generals (19-3, 4-2).

Both teams struggled shooting from behind the arc, with the T-Birds going 4 of 21 and the Generals 1 of 15 from deep.

Casper College plays Wednesday at No. 6 Gillette College, which fell 94-89 at Northwest College for its first loss of the season.

In earlier action Saturday, the 22nd-ranked Casper College women's team pulled away in the second half for a 79-46 victory over Sheridan College.

The T-Birds (20-2, 6-0 Region IX North) outscored the Generals 45-20 in the second half to post their 10th consecutive victory.
