The Casper College volleyball team will be looking to end a two-game losing streak when it opens play in the Region IX tournament Wednesday at Sheridan College.

The Thunderbirds (12-21, 9-5 Region IX North) are the No. 3 seed in the tournament and take on No. 6 Central Wyoming College (7-18, 4-10) in the opening round.

Casper College defeated CWC 3-1 in their first match, but was swept 3-0 by the Rustlers on Friday.

No. 14 Laramie County Community College enters as the No. 1 seed. The Golden Eagles are 28-6 overall and finished 13-1 in the Region IX North.
