After a walk-off, extra-inning victory in Game 1 of the Mountain Collegiate Baseball League championship Tuesday, the Casper Cutthroats couldn't come up with any late-inning magic on Wednesday.
The Cutthroats managed only four hits and the Northern Colorado Toros' lone run -- scored in the top of the first inning -- was good enough for a 1-0 victory to even the series at 1-1.
The Cutthroats loaded the bases in the bottom of the ninth, but Ben Holland flied out to right field to end the game.
Chris Tate threw seven innings, allowing just the one earned run while striking out eight. Zach Westberry pitched two scoreless innings in relief.
The championship series continues on Thursday with Game 3 at Mike Lansing Field at 6:35 p.m.
