Senior forward Alisha Bass scored two goals to lead the University of Wyoming soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Northern Colorado at Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex on Sunday afternoon.
The Cowgirls (3-3-1) got ahead early with the first goal coming in the ninth minute. Bass added the second in the 28th minute as the Wyoming offense continued to pressure.
Northern Colorado scored its only goal in the 43rd minute.
Wyoming peppered a season-high eight shots on goal, a career-high five of them coming from Bass. The win also continued the Cowgirls' longest non-conference home unbeaten streak among Division I programs. Wyoming is 10-0-2 during that stretch.
The Cowgirls end the non-conference portion of their season on Thursday against Idaho State at 4 p.m.
