Both University of Wyoming swimming teams finished third at the Mizzou Invite over the weekend, wrapping up with the third day of competition inside Mizzou Aquatic Center in Columbia, Mo. late Saturday.

Sophomore Scotia Mullin made his first appearance of the season, returning from injury to score a 398.50 in the finals to win the diving portion of the invitational. Junior Jack Herron took second while senior Wade Nelson finished fifth in the 200 butterfly to lead the Cowboys.

A trifecta of juniors in Samantha Burke, Marcela Gramcko and Connor Tarver finished sixth, seventh and eighth, respectively, in the 100 backstroke to lead the Cowgirls. Senior Maria Harutjunjan contributed to the team by placing eighth in the 200 breaststroke.
