University of Wyoming senior Hayden Dalton was honored Monday as the Mountain West men's basketball Player of the Week.

Dalton, a native of Parker, Colorado, scored a career-high 30 points and added 13 rebounds, three assists and two blocked shots in the Cowboys' 74-65 victory over Chattanooga on Friday.

The 6-foot-8 forward played all 40 minutes and was 9-of-17 from the field, including 5-of-9 from behind the arc, and made 7 of 8 free throws.

Dalton is the first Wyoming player to score at least 30 points in a season opener since Afam Muojeke had 31 against Cal-State Bakersfield in 2008.
