Selale Kepenc, a sophomore on the University of Wyoming women's basketball team, has been chosen to represent her home country of Turkey at the FIBA U20 Women's European Championships that begin Saturday and finish on July 16 in Matosinhos, Portugal.

The tournament is divided into four groups comprised of four teams. Turkey is in Group D along with Russia, Serbia and the Netherlands. Turkey starts with Russia on Sunday, before all teams advance to a conventional 16-team format.

Kepenc came off the bench in 14 games last season and averaged 2.8 points with 1.5 rebounds per game for the Cowgirls. Her best game came late in the season against New Mexico, when she tallied 12 points and six rebounds in a win.
