The University of Wyoming women's basketball team opens the 2017-18 season Friday with an exhibition game against Chadron State College at the Arena-Auditorium in Laramie.

Head coach Joe Legerski, now in his 15th season on the bench, welcomes back four starters from last year's team that finished 22-10 and advanced to the second round of the WNIT.

Senior Liv Roberts, who averaged 15.6 points and 7.8 rebounds per game and earned all-Mountain West honors last season, was named to the MW preseason team on Wednesday.

Other starters returning for UW are senior Natalie Baker, junior Bailee Cotton and sophomore Clara Tapia, along with the reigning MW Sixth Player of the Year in Marta Gomez.

Wyoming is 11-0 all-time against the Eagles.
