The Wyoming Cowgirls are going back to the WNIT.

Wyoming (21-9, 13-6 Mountain West) was announced Monday as a member of the 64-team field, receiving an at-large bid. The Cowgirls will host Seattle (15-17, 10-4 Western Athletic Conference) on Thursday in a first-round matchup. UW announced the game will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The Cowgirls, who finished second in the Mountain West and were beaten by No. 7 seed Fresno State in their first game of the conference tournament, will play in a postseason invitational tournament for the first time since 2013. Wyoming lost in the first round that year.

Seattle tied for second in the WAC with CSU Bakersfield, four games back of New Mexico State. The winner of Thursday's game will face the winner of BYU and Washington State.

The Cowgirls have now made the tournament six times under head coach Joe Legerski, winning it in 2007. They made their lone NCAA Tournament appearance under Legerski in 2008.
