A small contingent of Wyoming track and field athletes traveled to Greeley, Colorado, on Sunday to take part in the NoCo Challenge.

Senior Garrett Lynch (Powell) was the busiest Cowboy on the day as he competed in all three throwing events, placing second in the discus, third in the shot put and fifth in the hammer. Sophomore Hap Frketich was second in the hammer with a personal-best throw of 173 feet, 5 inches.

Also for the Cowboys, junior Kyle Alexander (Cheyenne Central) finished second in the long jump and fifth in the triple jump; and the 4x100 relay team of Jace Marx (Big Piney), Jacob Harthun, Kevin Blackett and Sam Kirkeide placed second with a time of 41.34 seconds.

For the Cowgirls, freshman Addison Henry was fourth in the shot put and freshman Savannah Phillips (Cokeville) was fifth in the 400.
