KW 8 14 15 6 - 43
DR 10 5 7 9 - 31
The Trojans put together a strong game, taking control in the second and third quarters to knock off the Eagles.
"Our intensity and level of play was a couple notches higher than it was Friday," KW coach Pat Scissons said.
KW outscored Dakota Ridge 29-12 in the second and third quarters thanks to some timely shooting - something that the Trojans lacked in early stages of the week.
KW finished 2-1 at the McDonald's Invitational in Cheyenne. The Trojans return to the court Saturday at Sheridan.
Kelly Walsh: Kayla Fakelman (15 points, 7 rebounds); Emily Rochelle (10 points, 7 assists, 3 blocks). Dakota Ridge: Jaime Brandhorst (12 points).
Natrona County 57, Cheyenne Central 56
NC 15 12 20 10 - 57
CC 7 12 14 23 - 56
The Fillies struggled against the Indians' press in the fourth quarter but still managed to hold on for the victory, as NC finished the McDonald's Invitational in Cheyenne 3-0.
"To be able to scrap out some wins, I'm real happy, absolutely," NC coach Doug Diehl said. "It was a good weekend to get better, and we did."
Central (3-1) pressured NC for most of the game, but the press was at its best in the fourth quarter.
"They just really know how to pick up the intensity at the end when legs start to go," Diehl said.
NC will play in the Camel Tournament in Gillette starting Thursday.
Natrona County: Ashley Creager (16 points). Cheyenne Central: Lindsey Fearing (18 points); Shelby Cegelski (12).

CC 17 20 18 21 - 76
The Trojans were up by 1 with 2 1/2 minutes remaining, but couldn't hold the lead and fell to the Indians on the final day of the McDonald's Invitational.
"We just gave up some easy baskets right at the end and that's where it kind of got out of hand," KW coach Scott Marietta said.
KW finished 1-2 on the weekend. The Trojans will take to the floor again on Saturday when they host Sheridan.
"We'd have like to have three wins and we didn't get that," Marietta said. "We found we have some weaknesses and we found we can be a pretty good team when we execute."
