Junior point guard Trey Hladky was named Gatorade Wyoming Boys Basketball Player of the Year on Monday morning.

Hladky averaged 23.3 points, 4.1 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game for the Camels while also shooting 43 percent from 3-point range. The junior scored a game-high 29 points on 10 of 22 from the field in Gillette's semifinal loss to Rock Springs.

Hladky joins fellow Camel Kalina Smith, who was named Gatorade Wyoming Girls Basketball Player of the Year last week and was also Gatorade Wyoming Volleyball Player of the Year in the fall.

Gillette junior point guard Trey Hladky was named the 2017 Gatorade Wyoming Boys Basketball Player of the Year on Monday.

Hladky averaged 23.3 points, 4.1 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game for the Camels and shot 43 percent from 3 as he guided Gillette to the Class 4A semifinals.

He is the seventh Gatorade Wyoming Boys Basketball Player of the Year from Gillette and joins Kalina Smith, who was previously named Gatorade Wyoming Girls Basketball Player of the Year, as well as Gatorade Wyoming Volleyball Player of the Year this season.
