Powell head football coach Chanler Buck resigned his position Tuesday, as first reported by the Powell Tribune.

Buck coached the Class 3A Panthers for four years, going 18-22 and leading them to a runner-up finish in 2016.

Buck will remain in Powell as an assistant principal and the activities director at the middle school, according to the newspaper.

With former Greybull coach Marty Wrage taking over at Green River, there are currently five open head coaching positions in the state -- Cheyenne Central, Powell, Lovell, Greybull and Wheatland.
