Big Horn vs. Big Piney, noon (at Riverton)

POSTSEASON PUSH: Both teams have already qualified for the playoffs, and this game won’t affect either team’s standing seeing as how they’re in different classifications. Still, this game is a good measuring stick for both the Rams and the Punchers as they try to build momentum for the postseason.

PLAYERS TO WATCH: For Big Horn, Kade Eisele leads 1A/11-man in rushing (1,062 yards), all-purpose offense (210.7 ypg) and scoring (20.7 ppg). ... Will Pelissier is second in scoring (15.0 ppg) ... QB Quinn McCafferty has thrown for 1,025 yards and 11 TDs ... Kade Van Dyken leads the state with seven INTs.

Big Piney boasts one of 2A’s best defenses, led by Adam Willoughby (6 TFL, 2.5 sacks) and Tate Hughes (4 TFL, 7 sacks). Offensively, Chancy Hunt has rushed for 626 yards and a 2A-best 13 TDs and Jake Pape is No. 2 in scoring (12.7 ppg).

SERIES HISTORY: In the only previous meeting between the Rams and the Punchers, Big Horn won 62-6 in the 2010 Class 2A quarterfinals.
