The Wyoming Indian football team will forfeit its remaining two games of the season due to an increasingly low amount of healthy players.
Down to just 11 healthy players, superintendent Owen St. Clair confirmed that the decision was made to forfeit Friday's game against Shoshoni, as well as the Oct. 20 game at Rocky Mountain. Both of those games will go down as 2-0 losses for the Chiefs.
St. Clair did say that they are seeking offers from 6-man teams to play, but those will not count toward either team's records.
Wyoming Indian, which plays in Class 1A/11-man, will finish 1-7. The Chiefs' lone victory in the previous two seasons was a 26-12 win over the Wind River JV in Week 2.
