Recent Jackson graduate Anna Gibson captured her second national title over the weekend when she won the Brooks PR Invitational 1,600-meter run in Seattle.

Gibson, who earlier in the day was named the Milward Simpson Female Athlete of the Year in a ceremony in Cody, finished with a time of 4 minutes, 43.77 seconds to top the 11-runner field.

In March, Gibson took the top spot at the USSA Cross-Country Junior Nationals in the U18 10k Nordic ski race in Lake Placid, New York.

Gibson, who will attend Brown University in the fall, won three individual titles and anchored the Broncs' winning 4x800 relay team at the Class 4A state track and field meet last month.
