Kelly Walsh senior Emily Applegate signed her letter of intent at school on Friday to enroll and compete in tennis at the University of Sioux Falls this upcoming fall.

Applegate was a two-time all-state selection for the Trojans, having advanced to the state semifinals at No. 1 singles in both her junior and senior seasons. She had a best-ever third-place finish this past season.

Sioux Falls, an NCAA Division II program, does have one Wyomingite on its roster in current sophomore and Gillette graduate Kelsie Sanders. Sioux Falls goes into the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships on April 21 with an 11-6 record.
