The University of Wyoming wrestling team finished second at the Reno Tournament of Champions on Sunday. The Cowboys finished with 140 points, coming in behind only No. 6 North Carolina State (192).

Senior Bryce Meredith, junior Branson Ashworth and redshirt freshman Montorie Bridges all won their weight classes while seniors Archie Colgan and Chaz Polson both finished third.

Bridges, Meredith and Ashworth all went 5-0 through competition. Bridges defeated his final opponent by 10-4 decision and Ashworth won his final match by 6-1 decision. Meredith's championship win came over his former teammate, No. 2-ranked Kevin Jack.

Fourteen of Wyoming's 19 wrestlers earned a bonus-point win in their opening matches.

Sheridan native and Wyoming freshman Hayden Hastings wrestled unattached and finished sixth.
