Professional Development Day INDA EATON: Under the Influence of Wyoming, Sisterhood & Songwriting Inda Eaton is a singer-songwriter-storyteller in the tradition of Americana roots rock. Often compared to a fusion of Melissa Etheridge meets John Mellencamp, Inda’s original music & curiosity explore wanderlust, resiliency and community. Currently Inda resides on the east end of Long Island, NY. However, she is never far from her Wyoming roots which began by spending summers & holidays with her grandmother, Ardi, in Casper. The wide open space, the family, and the community of 1970’s Casper are often a recurring muse and characters in Inda’s storytelling. Sometimes the tales sound like a page out of the Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. Inda Eaton Inda’s latest release, Shelter in Place is currently played in a heavy rotation on Wyoming Public Radio. Her music, storytelling and education programming have been affiliated with Casper ArtCore, Natrona County School District #1, The National Historic Trails Interpretive Center, Casper College, BOCES, The University of Wyoming, The NIC, The Bear Trap Music Festival, The Casper Events Center, The Casper Juvenile Detention Center, The Casper Re Entry Center, Mercer Family Resource Center and numerous private venues.
