Marion Kreiner splash pad open

Marion Kreiner Splash Pad is open. With water cannons, dump buckets, overhead and ground sprayers, city staff anticipates the new splash pad to be an exciting addition to our community. Marion Kreiner Splash Pad normal operating hours are daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

On Saturday, June 8, at 10 a.m., there will be a grand opening ceremony for the new Marion Kreiner Splash Pad. In coordination with the grand opening ceremony, the Marion Kreiner Swimming Pool will adjust its normal operating hours to open at 10 a.m. for the celebration. Marion Kreiner normal operating hours will be Monday thru Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m.

Mike Sedar Aqua Park opens for the summer season on Friday, June 7. Mike Sedar Aqua Park’s normal operating hours will be Monday thru Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.

Washington Pool will open for the summer season on Saturday, June 8. Washington Pool’s normal operating hours will be Monday thru Friday from noon till 1 p.m. for adult lap swimming and individual water exercise followed by 1 to 6 p.m. for open swimming. Open swim is on Saturday from 1 to 6 p.m. and the pool is closed on Sunday.

Paradise Valley Pool will open for the summer beginning Saturday, June 8. Paradise Valley Pool’s normal operating hours will be: Monday thru Friday from noon to 6 p.m., Saturday 1 to 6 p.m. and Sunday 1 to 5 p.m. for open swim. Paradise Valley will have two lap swim lanes available all day for lap swimming and individual water exercise.

Summer markets start

The first summer market of the season is 5 to 8 p.m., at David Street Station. Browse through local growers and vendors, drinks for all ages, music by Ethan Hopkins, kids activities like the splash pad and face painting, and so much more. Markets continue every Tuesday through mid-September.

Active aging hiking

As part of the AARP Casper Action Team (CAT), Diana Nooney Hough has created an Active Aging Group. This group will be hiking in various parts of Casper.

The next scheduled hike is from 7 to 8 p.m., with the group meeting around the swimming pool area of Mike Sedar Park. The walk will be from Sedar Park to Yesness Pond. Nooney Hough recommends good walking shoes, comfortable

clothing, sunscreen, a bottle of water and maybe a hat. Everyone is welcome to join this “walking, talking, and hiking with new friends,” group. For more information, please call Diana Nooney Hough at 259-2783.
