Wyoming's oil and gas industry truly started to emerge from the bust in 2018 as the price of oil climbed over $60 a barrel. The price kept rising and enthusiasm grew both in the oil patch and in the minds of lawmakers.

From politics to regulations to drilling interest, 2018 was a good year for oil. The good news lasted until about October, when crude began to slide, introducing uncertainty to the business heading into the new year.
