‘Longmire Author Craig Johnson Coming to Centennial’
“Longmire Comes to Centennial, Wyo.: An Afternoon with Craig Johnson” is a fundraiser for the Centennial, Wyo. Library. The event is scheduled for Aug. 16, 2019, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the beautiful Fish On Ranch (32 Trout Drive, Laramie, WY 82070). Guest author, Craig Johnson, popular mystery book writer from Sheridan, Wyo. will read from his newest book, “Land of Wolves” to be published in Sept. 2019. This book will be the 15th book in the Longmire Mystery novel series, which was adapted as a TV series and ran for six seasons.
Johnson was featured in July at Longmire Days in Buffalo, Wyo., and will be the Grand Marshall of Wyoming State Fair parade. He lives in Ucross, population 25. Walt Longmire is sheriff of fictional Absaroka County 24 at the base of the Big Horn Mountains loosely based on Johnson’s area of Wyoming.
The fundraising event will feature live music, a silent auction, cash bar, snacks and Longmire merchandise along with the featured author who will sell and sign copies of the current book, “Depth of Winter.”
