Lone Piñon will teach dances, songs and music of northern New Mexico and the American Southwest. All instruments and abilities are welcome.  Dancers and singers are also welcome.  This band has taught people at all levels in various settings, including at the Festival of American Fiddletunes in Port Townsend, Washington last summer.   The band is traveling from Albuquerque and Santa Fe to spend a few days playing for events in Buffalo.  In 2019, Lone Piñon recorded a concert and oral history of New Mexican and Mexican music for the Library of Congress.  They are recipients of the American Folklife Center's Parson Award for traditional music.  The members of the band are easy to talk to and learn from.  Please RSVP David Romtvedt at 307-217-2812 if you wish to participate in the workshop.
