“An Evening with Edgar Allan Poe” brings four of the Gothic horror author’s stories to life on the stage.
“Before Stephen King, before Tim Burton, there was Poe,” director Brandon Paad said. “I wanted to show today’s audience the value of psychological horror. The ways in which we can be frightened without the traditional scare tactics of blood and guts. For nothing is more terrifying than our own minds.”
Stage III also offers a Poe-themed escape room Oct. 13 through Nov. 4 for groups to search Poe’s study for clues and try to solve a mystery before the time runs out.
