Broadway's 'The Color Purple' brings top-award winning musical to Cheyenne stage

“The Color Purple” Broadway performance brings the re-imagining of the Pulitzer Prize-winning story “about a young woman’s journey to love and triumph in the American South,” with a Grammy-winning score of jazz, gospel, ragtime and blues to the Cheyenne stage.

“The Color Purple” won the 2016 Tony Award for Best Musical Revival and was praised as a “ravishingly reconceived production that is a glory to behold” by The New York Times and by New York Magazine as “one of the greatest revivals ever.”
