Casper College hosts ‘Remembering Our Fallen Memorial’

The Casper College Veterans Club sponsors the “National Remembering Our Fallen Memorial” at Casper College. The memorial unveiled in 2017 at the Lincoln Memorial steps in Washington, D.C. honors U.S. military who have died from wounds while deployed in The War on Terror from Sept. 11, 2001 to present.

All modes of transportation and fraternal organizations are encouraged to take part in an escort Sunday from Torrington. Groups are asked to arrive an hour early. The event is based on weather and vehicle type with veterans taking priority, according to a Casper College press release

The memorial will arrive with a “Welcome to Wyoming” reception at the Torrington Travel Terminal in Torrington. The escort departs at 9 a.m. and continues to the Camp Guernsey Gate at 9:45 a.m., Glendo at 10:20 a.m., Douglas at 11:10 a.m., Glenrock at 11:50 a.m. the Casper Hat Six Travel Center at 12:20 p.m. No stop is planned in Douglas, but the escort will swing off at Exit 135 to pick up riders at the Broken Wheel Truck Stop.

When: On view 24 hours from 12 p.m. July 27 through 12 p.m. Aug. 5
