The Cheyenne Botanic Gardens invites the community to help plant landscape for summer at Paul Smith Children’s Village during its eighth annual Plant Pandemonium.

The first session 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, "Container Chaos," focuses on helping plant planters and containers for the Paul Smith Children’s Village. "Plant Pandemonium" 1 to 4 p.m. May 26, 28, 30 and June 2 and 4 focuses on helping plant areas in the village. The final "Plant Pandemonium" 10 a.m. a.m. to 4 p.m. includes a visit by the taco truck of event sponsor Taco John’s.

All plants are provided. As part of COVID-19 precautions, the Botanic Gardens will not be sharing tools, and volunteers must provide their own hand trowels. The planting beds and containers will be flagged with six foot spacing between family groups and individuals. The Paul Smith Children’s Village won't be open for free play during the programs, and restrooms and drinking fountains will be unavailable.

No pre-registration is required, but volunteers won't be allowed to enter if the Children’s Village reaches capacity of 25 volunteers at a time. For questions, call the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens at 637-6458. To schedule a private volunteer session for your social or service organization, contact Paul Smith Children’s Village manager Aaron Sommers at aaron@botanic.org
