Ucross Fellowship for Native American Visual Artists

“Intricate Form: Brenda Mallory + Sydney Pursel: 2018 Ucross Native American Fellows” is the inaugural exhibition of art by winners of the Ucross Fellowship for Native American Visual Artists.

Mallory and Pursel are the first two recipients and last year were Ucross artist residents. The exhibition includes works on paper, video, installation and sculpture, according to a Ucross press release.

Mallory is inspired by “ideas of interference and disruption of long-established systems in nature and human cultures,” according to the press release.
