Artcore's summer Music & Poetry series closes with new acoustic songwriting duo John May and Heath McAteer. Both grew up in Casper, and their similar interests in music and songwriting drew them together in the college choir. Their music speaks of the human condition and a love for the outdoors with harmonizing voices and guitar duets, according to the Artcore website.

Chad Hanson is chair of the Casper College's Department of Social & Cultural Studies, and his recent awards include the Meadowhawk Prize in Poetry and a Creative Writing Fellowship from the Wyoming Arts Council. He's written two poetry collections, "Patches of Light" and "This Human Shape, as well as non-fiction titles including "Swimming with Trout" and "Trout Streams of the Heart."
