Beartrap Summer Festival

Headlining band Survivor will not be able to perform at this year's Beartrap Summer Festival due to an illness.

Skid Row is slated to replace Survivor as the Saturday headliner at the Beartrap Summer Festival, according to a Friday announcement on the event website. Survivor, famous for its Academy Award-nominated hit "Eye of the Tiger," is unable to perform due to a illness of a member.

"But lucky for us the guys in Skid Row are on their way back from their huge headlining show at the Buffalo Chip in Sturgis and are doing us a solid by stopping by the meadow to entertain the crowd as headliner on Saturday," the website said.

Skid Row formed in 1986 and and achieved top 10 hits, gold and multi-Platinum sales and a No. 1 on the Billboard album chart, according to the band's website. The band is preparing to record the final installment of its "United World Rebellion" trilogy, according to the website. The current lineup is guitarist Scotti Hill, bassist Rachel Bolan, guitarist Snake Sabo, drummer Rob Hammersmith and ZP Theart on lead vocals.
