The stage version of the holiday film classic brings back the question, “Is there really a Santa Claus?” In “Miracle on 34th Street,” little Susan and her mother meet a Macy’s store Santa whose kindness is so unusual that some cynical folks think he should be committed to an asylum. The courtroom finale makes the case for love and generosity.
