An afternoon of presentations and discussion about Alzheimer’s disease and dementia begins with Niki Kapsambelis, author of “The Inheritance: A Family on the Front Lines of the Battle Against Alzheimer’s Disease.”

Following her talk “Heroes Among Us: How Everyday People are Changing the Course of Alzheimer’s History,” social worker Kelly Shipley will present on “The Importance of Supporting Caregivers in Our Community.”

The event concludes with a panel Q&A session with members of the family plagued by inherited, early-onset Alzheimer’s disease featured in Kapsambeli’s book.
