Skate at DSS
David Street Station ice skating hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Prices are $5 adults, $4 youth 5 to 12 and $2 toddlers 4 and under. Skate rental is $3, skate helpers and helmets free. Everyone under 12 must wear a helmet.
Noon Year Mac & Cheese
The second annual Noon Year’s Mac and Cheese Festival is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at David Street Station and across the street at the Lyric.
Attendees can sample gourmet macaroni and cheese for free from several local Casper chefs as they enjoy the community Christmas tree and ice skating, as well as macaroni-inspired crafts for the younger guests. You can look forward to Grab and Go Gourmet, HQ Barbeque, JC Burgers, Eggington’s, C85 and more to provide some of the best mac n’ cheese around. Some vendors will also have larger bowls available for purchase for $5 each.
Then, a countdown to noon by the Christmas tree and skating rink will ring in the New Year early with little ones, friends and family that won’t make it to midnight.
Ski at Hogadon
Hogadon Basin Ski Area will be open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily through Sunday, January 6.
Skate at ice arena
The Casper Ice Arena hosts Skate All Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for $6, which includes skate rental. Participants can come and go throughout the session. Skating supports are available for $3 each. Children 4 years old and under are free with a paid admission.
Mystery dinner at Elks
New Year’s Eve “happening” at the Casper Elks Lodge, a Clue Mystery Dinner from 6 to 8 p.m. Cost is $15 a person, hors d’oeuvres provided. Please sign up at the bar. Theme is ‘60s so if you still have your outfits from the last murder mystery dinner come down and have some more fun. After dinner there will be music by Zach Schommer starting at 8 p.m. Party favors and champagne toast at midnight. Members, significant other and guest accompanied by a member. Senior Center New Year’s Eve dance
Come join the Casper Senior Center for a New Year’s Eve dance with Larry Neef and the Jackalope Ropers from 7 to 10 p.m. There will be a break after 8 p.m. for potluck snacks and a break after 9 p.m. for a drawing for door prizes.
New Year’s Eve at Racca’s
Racca’s is hosting a Solid Gold New Year’s Eve from 7 p.m. to 1 am. Tickets are $89 per person, which includes tax and gratuity. Dancing, dinner, and drinks with appetizers and cocktails served 7 to 8 p.m. and dinner buffet from 8 to 10 p.m. There will also be late night bites.
The open bar includes a signature cocktail from Backwards Distilling, house wine, draft beer and mixed drinks. A Prosecco toast will be offered at midnight.
