Tai chi for health
New Tai Chi for Health classes start at noon. Classes run at noon on Tuesday to Thursday and will be held at the Wyoming Athletic Club west in the Sunrise Shopping Center at 3920 South Poplar Street.
Tai Chi is an ancient practice proven to reduce pain and improve your mental and physical well-being. The series of Tai Chi for Arthritis and Falls Prevention parts 1 and 2 were developed by Dr. Paul Lam and are approved by the Arthritis Foundation and encouraged by the Wyoming Dept. of Health.
This form uses gentle Sun style Tai Chi postures that are safe, easy to learn and suitable for every fitness level. This form can be done standing or seated. The practice of Tai Chi will help you to reduce stress, increase balance and flexibility and improve your overall feeling of wellness. Fall activities guides available
The Casper Recreation Division is pleased to announce the arrival of the Fall 2018 Activities Guide. Fall registration for Recreation Division classes and passes is officially open. Patrons may view the guide online at www.casperwy.gov or may pick up a copy at the Casper Recreation Center or Ice Arena. Simple and speedy online registration is available at www.ActiveCasper.com. Fall classes include dance, gymnastics, swimming lessons, ice skating, arts and crafts, fencing, fitness and more.
Wednesday night bowling
The Casper Fraternal Bowling League is looking for bowlers on Wednesday nights at Sunrise Lanes ending April 3 with a fun night April 10. Practice at 6:15 p.m.
League begins at 6:30 p.m. These are four-person teams, any combination with up to six members per team. Cost is $16 per bowler per night. League bowlers must be sanctioned, sanction fee is $20. For more information call Donna Morton at 472-5506 or 259-1028.

Casper Amateur Hockey Club’s online registration is now open for the 2018-2019 season and accepting registrations for 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and Girls 19U divisions. Did you know that the first time skater fee for the season is $200 and there is an equipment rental program that includes almost all the gear needed to play? New boxing club in town
Berserkers Boxing is now accepting boxers ages 8 and up. Practice is held at the lower YMCA building from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with conditioning on Casper Mountain on Friday. There is no fee other than the YMCA membership. The coach is USA Boxing certified. Currently seeking members to earn a spot on the traveling team, but no-contact members are also welcome. There is no pressure to get into the ring and boxing is great for weight loss. There is a family-like atmosphere and all are welcome. The organization has applied for nonprofit status.
