Veterans roll call

The second annual Veterans Week activities at Casper College concludes with the Veterans Day Roll Call, beginning at 8 a.m., in front of the Student Union. The names of every service member who sacrificed his or her life from 9/11 to the present will be read aloud. This is a nationwide effort on college campuses, started at Western Kentucky, and Casper College is proud to be a part of it. The public is welcome to observe.

Sunday breakfast at Elks

Breakfast is served at the Casper Elks Lodge every Sunday from 8 to 11 a.m. Serving pancakes, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage links, potatoes, scrambled eggs, French toast and omelets to order. New to the menu is build your own breakfast burrito. Also served is toast, juice, tea and coffee. All you can eat for $7, children 5 to 12 are $3, 4 and under are free. This is open to the public. Armistice 100th anniversary

The Natrona County United Veterans Council will host a ceremony honoring Veterans Day, formerly known as Armistice Day, on its 100th anniversary, 11 a.m., in the Tom Walsh Chapel. Oregon Trail Wyoming State Veterans Cemetery, Evansville. Sen. John Barrasso will offer remarks. Guest speaker will be WO4, USMC (ret.), Ed Houge, a highly decorated Vietnam veteran. Everyone is invited to attend.

Casper Theater Company is presenting “The Housekeeper,” a comedy by James Prideaux, at 2 p.m. Barb Schell and Dave Ernst will star in this two-person play delivering humor and passion to a grumpy writer and a make believe housekeeper. Tickets are available online, at the Casper Senior Center, 1841 E. 4th St, or at the door, for $15 adults, $10 seniors and students. Parental discretion is advised.

‘Finding Neverland’ at events center

“Finding Neverland,” the enchanting Broadway musical set to soar on tour this fall, is at the Casper Events Center. Finding Neverland follows the relationship between playwright J.M. Barrie and the family that inspired Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn’t Grow Up – one of the most beloved stories of all time.
