Ice rink open

The David Street Station outdoor ice skating rink is open.

The cost to skate is $5 per adult and $4 per child. If you don’t have skates, they are available to rent for $3, thanks to generous community donations that enabled the purchase of skates.

Regular hours of operation will be Thursday and Friday, 4 to 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 9 p.m. Watch for special hours during school breaks and holidays.

Stammtisch meets

The Casper German Stammtisch, an informal group that meets to share their interest in German-American heritage, the German language, history, culture, and to enjoy fun discussions in both English and German, invites you to join the following events: Stammtisch (monthly no-host gatherings): 5:30 p.m. at Pizza Hut on CY Avenue, December 6.

Final Art Walk

Art 321 invites you to come by for the final Art Walk of 2018 from 5 to 8 p.m. celebrating the openings of three new gallery shows, all of which are open calls that allow works by any artist, in any medium. Sand and Snow features images associated with Winter in Wyoming as well as art inspired by sandy, sunnier locales. The Affordable Art Show includes works of art priced at $150 or less. The Magnets Show showcases small artwork with magnets attached which wold make perfect stocking-stuffers. These shows will close on December 21 and admission is free.

Theatre at CC

“Around the World in 80 Days” is being performed on the McMurry Mainstage Thursday through Saturday. The production is suitable for ages 5 and up. Tickets for all productions are available online at or by phone at 268-2500 or toll-free at 800-442-2963, ext. 2500. Tickets for each performance are $12 for adults and $10 for students aged 5 to 18.
