Wednesday weaving group
Art 321 has started a new Weaving Group which will meet each Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. to noon. There are small table looms available for in-house use or for sale for $20, tax included. If you have ever wanted to learn how to weave or to sharpen existing skills, please bring in some yarn and join the group. There is no need to sign up ahead of time, experienced weavers will be there to help you get started and the cost is $5 per attendee.
Tacos at the Elks
Wednesday Night Special at the Casper Elks Lodge is taco bar with all the fixings. All you can eat for $7. Build your own tacos, nachos, taco salad or any combination you desire with green chili and refried beans. Children 5 to 12 are $3, serving from 6 to 7 p.m. or until gone. Also enjoy a dessert for $1. Member, significant other and guest accompanied by a member. For more information, call 234-4839.
Free dance lessons
Free dance lessons at The Eagles Lodge, 306 N. Durbin (use the side door) on Wednesdays. Teens and adults are welcome. Learn line dance, country and pop, from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m., and country swing from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Learn swing, two-step, waltz, cowboy cha cha and more. Learn to dance with Machelle. The monthly meeting of the Casper Chapter of the Wyoming Archaeological Society will be held at 7 p.m. The meeting location has changed to the Agricultural Resource and Learning Center at 2011 Fairgrounds Road. The Agricultural building is on the south side of the Fairgrounds and north of Guadalajara’s Restaurant.
Following a brief business meeting, Patrick Walker, BLM Casper archaeologist, will be our guest speaker. His presentation is entitled: The Ferris Mountain Airplane Wreck, A story of Tragedy and Perseverance. Visitors and new members are welcome.
