LARAMIE: Jean Garrison, UW’s Center for Global Studies director, will give the final “What in the World?” summer program presentation, 5:30 p.m., August 15, at the Albany County Public Library Centennial branch. She will discuss “Chinese-American Relations in the Trump Era: Cooperation, Confrontation or Crisis?” Free.

BUFFALO: Poetry reading and reception,Joanie Puma Bennet, 6:30 p.m. August 15, Johnson County Library in Buffalo. Bennet will read from her new poetry collection, Longing Distance. CHEYENNE: The Boys & Girls Club of Cheyenne provides free meals to children during the summer. Meals will be served at the Boys & Girls Club of Cheyenne on Monday through Friday from 8 to 9:30 a.m., (breakfast) and noon to 1:30 p.m. (lunch). There are no income requirements or registration. CHEYENNE: Fridays on the Plaza, 5:30 p.m., live concerts in front of Cheyenne’s historic depot, every Friday through Aug. 31.

HULETT: “Ride a Horse, Feed a Cowboy,” benefit, August 25. Annual event raises money for those in need due to illness, accident, or other circumstances. This year’s benefit goes to Becky McFarland Tinsley, who is battling breast cancer. Rodeo begins at 1 p.m., followed by barbecue and auction at 5 p.m., and traditional country artist Paul Bogart performs at 8 p.m. Rodeo event features ranch bronc riding, saddle broncs, barebacks and bulls. Rodeo, $10; barbecue and auction at Devils Tower Gulch, $10.
