LEHI, Utah—Gregory Hansen, 71, died peacefully surrounded by his family and friends on Sunday, February 3, 2019 in Lehi, Utah.
Greg is survived by his wife, Deanna Hansen and four children, Misty, Tawny, Trenton, and Mitchel.
Greg was born on December 15, 1947 in Provo, Utah to Bernard and Melva Hansen. He served a mission for his church in the Colombia/Venezuela Mission from 1968-1970. Greg graduated from BYU in 1972 with a degree in Business, Education, and Spanish. He married Deanna Webber, his eternal companion in April of 1977.
After moving to Casper, Wyoming, Greg owned and operated the McDonald’s franchise for 22 years.
He enjoyed spending time at his cabin in the mountains of Wyoming and running the Casper Classic, a cycling race based out of Casper, Wyoming. After retirement, Greg stayed busy with volunteer work as a wildland firefighter, ski patrol EMT, and two callings with his wife as temple ordinance workers and branch missionaries.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 8th at 10:00 am at the Thanksgiving Village Ward, 3155 North Garden Drive, Lehi, Utah, where a Viewing will be held prior to services from 9:00 to 9:30 am. Interment will be in Lehi City Cemetery.
