CASPER—Bill was born April 20, 1938 to Patrick McCollum and Lois Yost in Phoenix, AZ.
He lived a life loving the outdoors hunting, fishing, camping and in his later years gardening.
He joined the Air Force out of high school, where he was stationed at Lowry Air Force Base in Denver, CO., and met his wife to be while on leave in Phoenix. He married Donna Reddy in November of 1958. The center of their loving relationship was their three children Wendy, Denise and Brian.
Bill worked for the US Bureau of Reclamation where he was an operator, electrician and power plant supervisor at Glendo, Seminoe-Kortes and Guernsey Power Plants, and later as a power operations specialist at the Central Arizona Project in Phoenix, AZ.
He is survived by his loving wife, Donna; daughters, Wendy (Duane) Meredith, and Denise McCollum; and son, Brian (Sandy) McCollum; eight grandchildren, Christy (Michael) Hanson, Nick (Amanda) Meredith, Sheena (Nick) Mitri, Jehna McCollum, Sebrie McCollum, Kyle McCollum, Christopher McCollum, and William (TeeJay) McCollum; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Lois McCollum; three brothers, Patrick II, Robert, and Norman; and one grandson, William “TeeJay” McCollum.
A Memorial Service will take place this summer, with a date to be determined.
