LAS VEGAS, Nev.—Faye was born in Hamilton County, IL where she went on to teach for three years. She met and married Hueston Hammons and in 1951 they moved to Wyoming and lived in Newcastle and Pinedale for several years.
Faye worked as a legal secretary for over 30 years and moved to Casper in 1993.
Faye was known for her signature red and white hair, was the queen of one liner’s, and often made friends with the people she met as a hostess and cashier.
She leaves her daughter, Melody Tieman; granddaughter, Holly Palmer; and her husband, Brian Palmer; grandson, Joshua Coats; six great-grandchildren, Alayah, Amarah, Ayanah, Anylah, Barrett, and Audriana; and sisters, Roberta Roberson, Eulah Walden, and Dorothy Pearce.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hueston Hammons; son-in-law, Joseph Tieman; brother, John R. Todd; and sisters, Jean Voulgaris, Beulah Todd, Betty Gibbs; and her twin, Zelia Maye McPeak.
Faye was a light that will be truly missed.
She will be laid to rest in Pinedale, WY on July 24th, 2019.
