John and Sharon Belcher celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on May 14, 2018.
They have known each other since high school, and through circumstances, created a beautiful, blended family.
She was married to his brother, Elmer, who was killed in the Vietnam War. Elmer left behind two children, Marlynne and Walter, from a previous wife who died from kidney failure.

After John and Sharon married, they adopted Marlynne and Walter. They then had two children, Shawn and Roy.
John own his own construction and auto body business. Sharon worked at Wyoming Medical Center for more than 20 years. They retired, but have gone back to work because they were bored.
Their children have never seen them fight, never heard a harsh word said to each other. They have been amazing parents, grandparents and great-grandparents.
Their extensive family includes Shawn of Aurora, Colorado, and children Brittany and Michelle; Roy of El Paso, Texas, and children Ashley Sabrina, Kim and Nathaniel; Darla of Cheyenne, and children Brian (deceased) and Lisa; Crystal of Paoli, Oklahoma and children Travis, Dirik and Nicole; Mark of Dallas, Texas; Carl of Sterling, Colorado; Marlynne of Iowa and Walter of Casper. There are also at least 13 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
