CASPER — David and Myrna Evert will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on Feb. 12, 2017.
Friends and relatives are invited to a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 11, 2017, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 51 Primrose. A program will begin at 2:30 p.m. They request no gifts, please.
They were married Feb. 12, 1947, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Argyle, Minnesota.
He managed elevators in North Dakota and Minnesota for 40 years. She worked in Hendrum, Minnesota, and Sterling, North Dakota, in the school lunch programs and as a nurse’s aide in Bismarck, North Dakota, while raising five children. They lived in North Dakota and Minnesota until 1986 when they retired to Casper.
He worked in his wood shop building beautiful items for many. She has volunteered her time sharing her quilting ability to many in the area. Deemed as “Quilter of the Century,” she has made thousands of quilts which have been given to many who needed them. They enjoy visits from their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.

Their children are Louise Jacobson (deceased); Scott (Wendy) Evert, Holmen, Wisconsin; Craig (Pam) Evert, Glendo; Blake (Janelle) Evert, Grand Forks, North Dakota; and Kevin (Jeff) Evert, Springville, Utah.
Their grandchildren are Jeff (Toni) Jacobson, Devils Lake, North Dakota; Elaine (Paul) Kjosa, Ofallon, Illinois; Jason (Val) Evert, Casper; Julie (Josh) Stumbo, Spokane, Washington; Heather (Andrew) Evert, Bloomington, Illinois; Denise (Dane) Booth, Elko, Minnesota; Brian (Megan) Evert, Seattle; Dennis (Carrie) Evert, Edina, Minnesota; Ben Evert, Madison, Wisconsin; and Jon Evert, Hutchinson, Minnesota.
Their great-grandchildren are Dylan (Shelby), Kaylee and Emily Stumbo; Jesse (Max), Lacey and Faith Evert; Nicolas and Morgan Kjosa; Sydney and Rochelle Jacobson; Carter, Jackson, and Abby Booth; Adelyn and Cameron Evert, and Etta Evert.
One great-great grandson-will arrive in May.
