One year ago, tens of thousands of people fled a fast-moving wildfire in Northern California.

The Camp Fire would become the state's deadliest ever, claiming the lives of 86 people.

After 17 days, firefighters gained control of a wildfire that destroyed more than 18,000 structures, and turned the community of Paradise to ash.
